GO LIVE: BORNS takes over Batlimore

It’s been nothing but rain here in the DMV area, but it sure as hell didn’t stop some die hard Børns fans from traveling in the rain early enough to get a good spot right up against the barricade. Nine o’clock at night sharp, Garrett Borns and his band took the stage and instantly the ear piercing screeches from not only the fans against the barricade but from all around the top viewing decks to the back of the venue.

You can tell how die hard some of these fans were because of the amount of flowers and gift bags that were sitting on the barricade steps; literally a good handful of them. Opening up the night Børns opened up with Past Lives. The fans were pretty consistent with showing how much they were dedicated to this man. A setlist of sixteen songs PLUS an encore fans were in for a treat. This dude has such a voice, so talented.

Throughout the night Børns played hit after hit which included a ballad on the piano; Faded Heart, Supernatural, Blue Madonna and Sweet Dreams. Not only did he play his own material he threw a couple covers in there such as Elton Johns Bennie & The Jets mid way through as well as David Bowie’s Let’s Dance in the encore. After sixteen songs that fans proved to know very well; he took the stage for an encore where he ended with Tension (interlude) forming into a cover of the late Bowie’s Let’s Dance and finally his most popular single Electric Love.
