GO LIVE: THE LEGENDARY EARTH WIND & FIRE AND SANTANA BRINGS BACK MEMORIES TO JIFFY LUBE LIVE!

Jiffy Lube Live hosted two of the most iconic musicians/musical groups in the world, Earth, Wind & Fire and Carlos Santana.   The two legends are currently on their co-headlinging tour, the Miraculous Supernatural 2022 Tour.

The weather was perfect, the fans who were in attendance smiled ear to ear as they filled the amphitheater, the lawn and or found their way to the merchandise stands. As fans started to pile in and find their way the music was about to start, kicking the night off was Earth, Wind & Fire. Their full band set up was filled with a slew of instruments and some talented people who completed the band. Earth, Wind & Fire took the stage opening their set with Shining Star. The band performed a solid eighteen song setlist consisting of a a handful of hits and a few cover songs were thrown in to spice things up. A couple of covers that were thrown into the setlist were The Beatles’ Go to Get You Into My Life and David Foster’s After the Love Has Gone. As the night progressed and Earth, Wind & Fire’s set came to the end they ended their set with In the Stone.

Now I must say, that Earth, Wind & Fire set the bar pretty damn high for the legendary Carlos Santana. After the stage has been set for Santana and his entourage. Fans made their way back from grabbing refreshments/merchandise as Santana was just about to take the stage. Before their set there was an intro highlighting Woodstock. Kicking off the sixteen song set was Soul Sacrifice. For those who haven’t seen (or even have seen) Santana live, this guy is a wizard on the guitar. His music is absolutely phenomenal and his backing band is equally as talented as Santana is. Since Santana was tonights closing headliner his setlist was sixteen songs deep with an encore of an additional four songs. Not only did Santana play his own material from the slew of records from his discography he even threw in a few covers as well. The cover songs thrown into the mix were Jin-go-lo-ba (Babatunde Olatunji), Evil Ways (Willie Bobo), Oye como va (Tito Puente), Right On Be Free (The Voices of East Harlem) and even sprinkled in a few in the encore as well which were Are You Ready (The Chambers Brothers), Roadhouse Blues (The Doors) and ended their set with Love, Peace and Happiness (The Chambers Brothers). Not only did they play some pretty solid cover songs, they played fan favorites such as Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen, Maria Maria and Smooth.
