In the world of music there are plenty of songwriters, but not all of them chose the path or are presented the opportunity to step into the spotlight themselves. Writing for some of music’s biggest stars like Carrie Underwood, Jason Mraz, and Aloe Blacc to name a few it’s clear that Jake Scott knows a thing or two about creating a song. He’s taking the opportunity to bring his own songs to life through the Fall 2022 Lavender Tour.
This show brings along with it some of Scott’s best songs, both new and old. You’ll surely be dancing along to your favorite song, maybe even in your “Favorite Shirt”. It’s a show where you just immediately feel at home, surrounded by fans that know every word and you all become a choir. With the Lavender tour running through November 2022, it’s also important to know we got some exciting news from Scott at his DC show. The tour is named after the color/scent/flavor of Lavender because of how special it is to his wife, but it’s also the name of the title track off his upcoming and (technically) debut album ‘Lavender’ which you can expect in 2023. So be sure to stay tuned for that.
Joining Scott on this tour are two acts making waves in the music world themselves. Brynn Cartelli and ROSIE are names you may already be familiar with. Brynn Cartelli just released her latest single “Convertible in the Rain” and accompanying music video but if you haven’t heard that song yet maybe you know her as the winner of season 14 of The Voice in 2018, becoming the youngest winner at the time being just 15 years old.
Alongside her is musician and viral sensation ROSIE, who rose to fame on TikTok in 2020 with her hit “Never the 1”. But becoming famous during the pandemic meant she was limited to connecting with fans via a screen, so now that she’s in front of live crowd’s she’s ceasing the moment. Her songs cover topics of mental health and normalize the idea that it’s ok not to be ok which is why her music resonates so much with fans.
