Obviously the people of Silver Spring had different plans in mind for a Tuesday night…I mean who wouldn’t want to attend a SOLD OUT Lil Wayne show on a work night?
I’d say that there are some dedicated Lil Wayne fans in the DMV, the line was wrapped around the block and then some. And this was hour before the doors even opened. Once doors opened the fans all rushed to either secure their merchandise or to secure that golden spot right against the barricade.
Before the man of the hour, his DJ kicked things off and made sure the crowds energy was at an all time high for Lil Wayne to take the stage. The DJ played for a solid forty-five minutes to an hour, around nine o’clock the lights went out, the fans went from more of a steady chatter to screaming at the top of their lungs, between the haze of the fog machine, the amount of smoke coming from those lighting up in the crowd and the strobes I honestly couldn’t really tell if it was show time or if they were just getting the crowd ramped up.
Eventually the screams grew louder and Lil Wayne took the stage opening up with Mr. Carter. The fans sang back each word back to him and you can tell by the huge smile on his face he was ready to give those fans more. Lil Wayne performed a thirty-seven song setlist which included literally hit after hit. I don’t think he missed a single song lets be honest.
