Live music is built upon long running traditions such as waiting off stage for an encore or telling the crowd they’re the loudest, and this is their favorite city. Jordy was no exception here however he might have been the most convincing I’ve seen. Whether it’s true or not it’s undeniable his ability to connect to a crowd and make you feel seen. This came to fruition during a speech towards the middle of his set calling you to check up on the people that mean the most to you, in a political climate that’s seeing many rights challenged for so many people. Jordy created a safe space for fans to be free and uninhibited by the outside world to enjoy what we all love in whichever way they pleased. You could sense the confidence he possessed when performing and it radiated throughout the venue. His energetic pop anthems got the crowd off their feet and smiling, with relatable source material forging a connection with the crowd. Opening for Spencer Sutherland he laid the groundwork for an incredible show in the basement that is Union Stage. Make sure to check out his new album “BOY” which include hit tracks such as “Story of a Boy”, and “IDK SH!T” among many other great songs!
