Popstar sisters Aly & AJ Michalka come back to the DMV on another headlining tour. This time with support act The Brummies.
Opening up the night on the A Touch of the Beat tour is an group independent artists/ multi-instrumentalists. The band is called The Brummies. Their energetic set really seemed to pull a crowd, and really got everyone off their feet ready to party. With only a short amount of time on stage they really kicked things off. After an amazing set by The Brummies it was time for the insanely talented sisters Aly & AJ to take the stage. Their stage setup was absolutely adorable and really matched their aesthetic. Also the tones their lighting had also matched their type of vibe which was very pleasing to the eye and ears as strange as that sounds. Once the lights went out, Aly and AJ took the stage opening the night with Pretty Places. With being the headlining act obviously, they had a pretty solid setlist to treat the fans to here in Silver Spring at the Fillmore, which **SPOILER** included an insanely amazing cover of Tegan and Sara’s Closer. The ladies performed a sixteen song setlist and that was not including the three song encore they gave the fans who were demanding more.
